My name is DaNae Streets and I am so glad you’re here! I am a natural light portrait photographer based in Lakeland, FL and I’d love to get to know you better and capture some precious memories!
My style is a mix between classic portraiture and lifestyle, which means that I will always do the posed shots of everyone
looking and smiling, but will mostly focus on the candid, storytelling shots of the subjects interacting with each other or
the environment around them.
I specialize in families, children, seniors, and boudoir photography.
I grew up in Minot, North Dakota, until I moved to Virginia for college, where I met my wonderful husband. We then moved to his hometown of Lakeland, FL, where we have resided since 2003. We have 3 AMAZING children who all have completely different personalities and I thank the Lord everyday that I get to be their mother.
I have always had a love of photography, and took many film and digital photography courses in college. However it was always just a hobby until after I had my children, and I really began to pursue it as a career. As you can see, my children are often the subjects of my images. I continuously do online classes, workshops, attend photography conferences, and do as much as I can to try and become a better photographer.
I'm a BIG time Star Wars nerd, but also love fantasy movies/books like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and many more! Although I would classify myself as an introvert, I am a very easy going person, and love to laugh and joke around with my clients. My sessions are very laid back and I really try to make them as fun and relaxing as possible.
"Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful. For beauty is God's handwriting." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Since I am a natural light photographer, I mostly shoot my sessions at an outdoor location. I will travel anywhere up to 30 miles from Lakeland, or can go further for a travel fee. I also have an indoor natural light studio in my home I use for milestone sessions, styled mini sessions, or as an alternate option to get out of the Florida heat or rain.
"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever...It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything."
